The Research Center for Workplace Inclusion seeks to generate answers to pressing new questions through a collection of related workstreams. Research to help overcome the foundational barrier of still-incomplete knowledge on how to build and maintain workplaces with greater racial, gender, and class inclusion. The convening of people and the dissemination of ideas through several channels including roundtables and conferences, all of which will reinforce research and teaching and will empower more people and organizations.
DEI Thought Leaders Soirée
In July 2024, over 50 DEI scholars, practitioners, and corporate partners joined together to build on our 2023 gathering and to work together toward collective action, working jointly to catalyze and amplify our voices through writing a series of op-eds to engage the public in the conversation about defending DEI and its critical importance.
In August 2023, the Tuck Initiative on Workplace Inclusion hosted our inaugural DEI Thought Leaders Soiree, entitled Intellectual Activism in the Academy: Advancing an Inclusive Workplace.
Nearly 60 leading DEI scholars and practitioners from across the U.S. and abroad gathered in Hanover, New Hampshire over two days to reflect, strategize, and plan for collective intellectual action to further our shared goals: to advance DEI as a necessary academic discipline in our current environment, and to elevate the future of DEI in the workplace.
During the Soiree, an artist joined us to create large-scale murals that tell the story of our time together. These unique visuals highlight themes and key takeaways from the event. Click the links below to have a closer look.
